Choosing Hybrids as a Solution for Social Media Marketing

Only recently has hybrid marketing made its way to the forefront of social media marketing campaigns. It is a relatively new term that describes a variety of marketing strategies. Hybrid marketing is used as a way to blend traditional forms of proven media, including print and television advertisements, along with social media website marketing strategies.

The Benefits of Traditional Media Marketing

In all likelihood most of us are more familiar with traditional media marketing. This often consists of a variety of media including radio and television commercials along with printed advertisements in magazines and newspapers. Even billboards and other street signs can be included when describing traditional media marketing.

Traditional media marketing is still highly active in the promotional world. However, many companies are quickly finding out that consumers tend to spend less time in direct interaction with traditional media marketing strategies, and are now transitioning to social media.

Digital Media Marketing

Only with the intention of the Internet age has digital media marketing begun to fully emerge. It is this type of marketing strategy that is found on banner ads, personal webpages, and company websites. It often provides the user basic information without much interaction from online potential customers.

It is to the extent that this type of digital media marketing provides only a one-way opportunity for delivering the message that represents promotions much like traditional media marketing. It only uses a different vehicle but is delivering pretty much the same message. The online user is seeing the advertisement on the computer screen, instead of viewing it on TV.

Social Media Marketing

With the new age of social media marketing, potential customers are really seeing the advancement of digital media marketing. It is actually the blend of traditional media marketing with new digital media but it provides two-way communication.

Rather than pushing the message to the potential customer concerning services or products, social media marketing strategies allow the potential customer to become interested by interacting with the company online. This is used as an effective tool, where the potential customer can communicate one-on-one with the company, and leave feedback, reviews, and comments about products they have used or would like to use.

Hybrid Marketing

Like the name would suggest, hybrid marketing is nothing more than a combination of all three components of marketing. It takes traditional media marketing, and blended together with digital marketing while using the two-way communication opportunities of social media marketing.

An effective hybrid marketing campaign never relies on one single advertisement like those found on radio, print and television advertisements. It finds unique and various ways to deliver a variety of messages all focused on the same products and services.

Hybrid marketing is so highly effective because of its two-way communication. It allows greater input directly from the potential and existing customers, and can be used to deliver specific messages to direct targeted audiences and demographics.

Because the Internet world continues to evolve, social media marketing tools have found a solid place by generating greater income for companies, through two-way communication with their potential and existing customers.
